This is our web series. It’s called “Web Series.”
And that joke is a pretty good indication of how silly it is
Like many of you, my friend Jon and I are sick of being home. (At our own homes, respectively, I mean. Not home together.)
As two creative people with a long history of making things (we met 17 years ago as actors; now we’re both advertising creative directors), the last few months of shelter-in-place and work-from-home have made us a little stir crazy.
So a few weeks back we said, “Let’s make something.” This web series is that thing. It’s silly, low-tech fun. We’ve had a hoot making it. And the discipline of putting something out each week is a great creative workout.
Yes, it’s a weird time in the world; there’s lots to be sad and angry about. But one Zoom call a week that’s full of laughter is keeping us sane.

Who the F are these guys? Jon Wolanske and John Kovacevich are San Franciscans who met in the Bay Area sketch comedy and improv world more than a decade ago. They performed together in San Francisco’s “beloved” sketch group Killing My Lobster, including the world premiere of the award-winning play “Hunter Gatherers.”
Eventually, they decided they wanted to do things like pay their rent and feed their families, so they did what lots of funny people have done before them — they got a job in advertising. Both of them are now advertising creative directors.
More than a decade ago, they were part of a group that created a show called “Morning Announcements” at ad agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
